Flash Mobs are cool art projects done in public places, performed over a very brief period (a few minutes!) by complete strangers. They are organized through the Internet (social networking websites). People participating in a Flash Mob usually gather at a public place, like a street, metro station, market; and do some wacky stunt which attracts people's attention (and sometimes media's too). Purpose: having fun.
Author and journalist Bill Wasik is the originator of Flash Mobs phenomenon.
