Dreams OnDemand

I have sent the following letter to The Currect program on CBC Radio about a personal experience that I cannot forget...

Hi Anna-Maria,

Today you had a program with Jeff Warren about dreams and how we can "visit" some places while dreaming.

I would like to share one experience I had 4 yours ago.

A few months after I arrived in Canada, I started getting homesick. I was especially missing my little niece.
One night I was so desperate that I decided to see her in my dream! I decided that tonight in my dream, I want to see and touch her.
That very night, I was able to able to see her sleeping. I kissed on her forehead and lifted her up in my arms. I vividly remember feeling her weight in my arms. Right at that point I woke up and saw that my both arms were lifted up as if I am holding a sleeping child.

I was surprised at the power of dreams and the amazing possibility of deciding what to dream.

Regards,

Faraz Anwar.
Montreal, QC.

And got a reply the same day! :)

Wow ... very interesting. Thank you for this. I will be sure to forward this to the staff as well for their interest before I leave today.

Take care,

The Current

I have coined a fashionable term for this phenomenon: Dreams OnDemand. :-)

Letter to Mr. President

My letter to the president Musharraf on the funny website: www.presidentofpakistan.gov.pk

~
Mr. President,
Thank you for giving me a good laugh while reading the letters to you on this website.
This website shows that people of Pakistan have a good sense of humour - perhaps the only 'sense' left with us after the departure of 'sense of pride', 'sense of resposibility' and the 'common sense'.

Salutes,
Faraz.

I hope to get a funny response!! :-P
